“no extra key is allowed for Google Authenticator” – this comment isn’t correct.
Unattended access to Google Drive means that the website needs to be provided by Google with an access token. To get that token, UpdraftPlus has to go through an authorization procedure – *which involves you logging into your Google account in a web browser*. That will involve whatever two-factor authentication you have set up. If you’ve set up Google Authenticator for access to your account, then it’ll require that.
Perhaps that’s not what you meant? If you’re wanting to be asked for a Google Authenticator code every single time you backup, then the limitation is at Google’s end, not the plugin’s. It’s not technically possible, according to the procedure Google have created.
I’d be grateful if you were able to add the extra star to your rating, as either way, it’s not a plugin defect!
