Great plugin (with one request)

  • This is a great chat room feature. Setup was very simple. I am looking to see if it is possible (my request) to use this plugin to create multiple chat rooms. For example, a chat room for differing topics. For now, from what I can tell, you get one chat box for the site.

    Also, what happens when the “Max chats” he that number? Does is clear out the messages and start over?

    Hey @airsoftdad, that is correct the free version supports only one chat room. It can be displayed on as many pages as needed, but the actual chat content always will be the same. The upcoming pro version is vastly superior plugin and will support unlimited chat rooms.

    For the “Max chats” it simply stops adding new chats when the limit is reached. By default, the plugin never automatically deletes existing chats for any reason.

    Thank you, Jeff. In order to keep the chats alive, never to end, what do you suggest in the current version? In the pro version, will there be a setting so there is no max? Also in the pro version, will you be allowing for a title for each of the chat rooms? I have a sample image to illustrate my questions, but there is no an option to upload an image here.

    Glad to help:

    Just set it to something like 999999999999 or other crazy number. There is no way any chat room is going to get a trillion chat messages.

    No but again, just set it to a trillion or other crazy number does essentially the same thing as unlimited.

    What do you mean? Already it’s possible to just do this on any post or page:

    <h3>Whatever Special Title You Want</h3>
[sac_happens]

    And pro will work the same way; you can add whatever text/title either before or after the chat box.
