Great Pulgin however…

  • Great plugin and perfect for the job however while our site only has 10 plugins we sometimes have performance issues where the site runs and loads very slow.

    Got my server company to check and the said we have alot of processes running your webspace.

    Installed a plugin checker and this checked the runtime of my plugin’s.

    Surprisingly Post Types Order uses 54%…over half of the runtime of my plugins. If I disable this recheck and test the load time of my site it runs and loads ‘much’ quicker.

    Having our posts in a certain order is very important however this does come at a cost, performance and speed.

    That’s really surprising as the plugin mainly just change the query order to a menu_order when need, you must be doing something wrong in your measures ??
    By they way what plugin did you used to test the server usage? You may actually see 54% of filters usage or something, which would be something totally different.

    Hi there,

    I used the “P3 – Plugin Performance Profiler” and it is clear in the legend of results that the Post Type Order plugin is using over 50%.

    It may be surprising however the results are there I’m afraid.

    I am looking at other plugins that may do the job as we can’t leave this as it is ??
