• Anyone else experiencing the same? I mean you’ve got tons of great looking designs out there, so that’s not a problem.

but as soon as you start to fill your website, you have great difficulty in arranging pictures, or making a simple product placement page or something.

Im messing about with CSS but it’s not really fluent when you use the text editor in wordpress.

Everytime i fill a website, i end up with boring looking text and the same usual, left, center and right placement of images……

  • wordpress is (partially due to the restrictions of its text editor) not a website building software, ‘web-top’ publishing platform, or ‘online’ word software.

however, with a more in depth knowledge of the wordpress template tags and the use of page templates, and all the (newer) custom stuff, there is a lot more you could do to present your own content.

just using the templates that come with often simple free themes will leave you with a ‘template’ feel of you blog or cms.

The exterior looks fine, but WP should really focus on their editor to make it more flexible.

Perhaps an AJAX editor that gives you the ability to move images more easily, wrap text around images, ability to create boxes and feature lists etc.

I can’t find any plugin that makes this easier.

Not per se for myself but for my clients.
