There are a lot of ways to accomplish custom post types in WordPress these days. Pods basically takes those and puts a supercharger on them. It goes far beyond the simple task of just post types and taxonomy, but does it in a way that keeps it pretty straightforward to implement, whether that’s querying and displaying, front end submissions and editing, or extending parts of the system.
