Great WP database optimizing tool.

I have tried other WP database tools and Advanced Database Cleaner is by far the best. It has a nice UI and very easy to use. I am not a DBA, but understand what is going on under the hood and this cleans up / optimizes like it claims. It finds orphaned data which is great for old databases that have been in use with many plugins that were installed and uninstalled over time. Look into getting the Pro version.

Having a smaller database, should improve efficiency; and this is a good tool to use.
