I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing SEO score mismatch issue between individual page and Overview page in your admin.
To clarify, the Yoast SEO plugin analyzes the content straight in your browser while editing; your browser performs the analysis “live” as you add content, make modifications, etc. This is the score displayed in your page edit screen from the Yoast SEO meta box. Once you publish or save a post, this score is saved to the database. The scores saved in the database are the ones that are displayed on the post overview screen (under the score columns).
However, we have seen unexpected issues where the previously optimized data is invalid or incomplete.
We can reset and rebuild the fresh data by performing the SEO data optimization, kindly follow the steps below:
- Kindly Install & activate the free plugin Yoast Test Helper plugin
- Go to WordPress admin > Tools > Yoast Test
- Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that each reset was successful. Note: this won’t actually erase your SEO data, which is also stored in WordPress’ default tables. It’ll just reset our index (custom tables) for that data.
- Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.
After completion, clear all your caching from your theme, plugin, server, CDN like CloudFlare, or browser.
Do you now see the correct matching score?
We look forward to hearing from you.
