I am using the latest (as of today) Greenshift plugin and Greenshift theme in WordPress 6.3.1 with all other plugins deactivated.

I have created patterns with Greenshift elements in reuseable templates. When these patterns are inserted into WordPress editor, the page will become unresponsive at times with pop-up warning “These pages are not responding.” or crash to WordPress dashboard. In addition, styles from these patterns are not shown in published pages, only the content.

Patterns made from default WordPress elements do not exhibit these problems.

Greenshift is doing great for me, but pattern usage is an important part of workflow as my clients often request style changes. Getting to effect the changes across all the patterns simultaneously is a time saver.

Do I need to purchase any Greenshift addon to get pattern working? I will be more than happy to purchase them to get patterns working with Greenshift.

    Thanks.

first of all, provide your code or steps how to reproduce. Here is screenshot, I made 3 complex patterns: dynamic, script related, elements with row and animations. I don’t see any issues

I followed what you did in the video (down to using the same pattern name) and you are right, there is no issue. I suspect it is because there is only one pattern from the same reusable template.

    1 x border animation, 1 x synced button, 1 x count (only one each).

To reproduce the issue, try these two steps (2 x border animation). Using the same pattern name in your video:

    1. Insert Border Animation pattern (or any other pattern made from Greenshift blocks).
    2. Duplicate the inserted Border Animation pattern or insert the Border Animation pattern manually from library.

    You will see the issues.

I read another thread talking about CPU spike, so I checked my task manager and compare before and after inserting the same pattern. The browser CPU utilization is around 40% for the WordPress tab. Before duplicating the pattern block, it is less than 2%.

I hope this information make some sense of this issue.
