Grid layout not showing up in query loop?

For some reason, when I’ve chosen to display posts as a grid layout in a query loop, the posts are being displayed as a list.

I have disabled all plugins, removed any custom CSS and I am still experiencing the issue. I also disabled the sidebar as I thought that was a problem. The posts display as a grid on the home page.
