Grid-style post gallery per category

  • I know I’m number thousand to ask this. But I can’t figure it out. And it shouldn’t be to hard when I see it all over the web, right?

    I’m trying to style my category pages that they display the featured images from the posts in that category as thumbnails in grid view, with the post name under it.
    For example: https://www.abeautifulmess.com/projects-a-beautiful-mess-diy-index.html

    I’ve tried every grid plugin and every downloadable page template, but I just can’t get the hang of it. Can anybody help me out?

    I’ve tried ALOT. Too much to mention. All the available plugins, all the guides you find when googling for “grid category wordpress” and the likes and even all the page templates I could find across Github.

    If you cannot find a plugin to do what you want, you should be able to do this by creating a custom template – though it will take some knowledge of WP/HTML/CSS – but in any case, you’re using a commercial theme, so you need to ask StudioPress for help with this.
