    New WordPress installation, v4.7.3, with Simple Event Planner.
    I have three events, and both events_layout=”list” and events_layout=”grid” show as one column with massive images. How do I get grid view to work, as shown in the plugin’s promotional screenshots, whereby they appear in a row with small thumbnail images?

    Hello @thoricsolutions,

    Thanks for sharing site URL.

    We have reviewed your site, you are using Event Archive page. As Event archive is managed from SEP settings. You can change the layout from List to Grid from SEP Template settings Tab.

    I am also sharing a screenshot URL for your easiness. Please have a look.

    I don’t understand. What is an “Event Archive” page? I installed the plugin and created a blank WordPress page and copied in the sample text to create an event list. I changed “list” to “grid” and saw no change.

    It sounds like I don’t need an “Archive” view, so how do I stop using this Archive style? You showed me how to change the archive style to grid, but how do I stop using Archive and use normal grid view?

    @thoricsolutions,

    You are experiencing this issue because you are using the same slug “events” as event’s Archive page.

    Please change the slug for your created page other than “events” and then you will get event listing with required settings.

    Thank you for using SEP! Let us know if you need our further assistance.

    I do not know what that means. What is a ‘slug’? I changed the URL for the events page to “events_grid” and now I see a different style of view, the grid view, which is better.

    My events page was the default that a fresh installation of WordPress creates. If your plugin creates an Archive View for the default template events page then I suggest you change this in your plugin. It’s very confusing for new users who don’t understand that “events” URL will create an “Archive Events” view, this is not what they want. Perhaps the Archive Events view default URL should be “events_archive” instead? This way newbie users will get a standard Events view for their default Events page.

    Thanks for your help.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Your suggestion is noted down and hopefully, we’ll implement it in our upcoming SEP releases.
