• I’m trying to edit the header links, Sample Page, but can’t find out where to edit. I tried menus, widgets, but so far, nothing. Can someone help?

  • You should be able to find the sample page under Pages ? Just delete it.

I want to delete and add links. There are two there but I forgot the other.

Do you mean you want to make a menu – are you using this:

But if there is already one there, can’t I edit it? No menus are listed yet the text is there. So which file would I edit?

If you don’t create a custom menu, WP uses the old default menu system. If you want to have control of what’s there, make a custom menu.

But how do I get rid of what’s there??? Home and Sample Page are there. I want to replace Sample Page then add a few mire links.

If I just add a menu, won’t that remain?

    Edit: I read your link

I clicked Pages and Sample Page is there. I can delete that but the other links I want to add aren’t pages.

Edit II: I read further (!) and saw Title referenced. I added a dummy “page” and the link is next to Sample Page. Thank you ??

Just one lil’ issue. Test Page is in italics, different font. I sort of remember changing those settings. Since the old links didn’t change (and Home isn’t listed in Pages), I imagine I need to go back and figure out how to change that back.

I looked at this theme on a test site, and it looks like it makes the current page into italics/underlined – that’s part of the theme’s CSS.

It’s much easier to use a Custom Menu if you want to control what shows up in the menu.

Ok, so how do I get rid of the Home link? I can remove Sample Page.

In making a custom menu, I imagine it would be under Title? I’ve never done one…
