I have main products displayed on my e-commerce site, with a variety of 1-2-3-4. These main products are grouped. In addition, there are also supplementary products on the site. Both the main products and supplementary products are available for individual purchase. I want to create a promotion. When a customer purchases one of the main product groups, I would like to offer a fixed discount on a supplementary product of their choice in the cart. However, for each main product, only one supplementary product should be discounted; for example, for the second main product, a second supplementary product should be selected. No more than one supplementary product should receive a discount per main product.

    Group 1 > $10
    Group 2 > $20
    Group 3 > $30
    Group 4 > $40

    Promotional Products Retail Price:
    1 > $11
    2 > $13
    3 > $15

When purchasing from Group 1, only one promotional product should be selectable at the discounted price. Other promotional products should appear at their regular retail price.

How can I set this up using your plugin?

When purchasing any of the group products, one of the promotional products (only valid for 1 product) should be discounted in the cart. If a second promotional product is added to the cart, it should be shown at the regular price.

    Main Products
    G1 – G2 – G3 – G4

    Promotional Products
    X – Y – Z

For G1 purchase, one of the promotional products (X, Y, or Z) should be 50% off in the cart.

    Hi @bakgun1 ,

    Thanks for coming.

Since I am unable to picture exactly how your product set is, as you’ve described. But I do think what you need is is the Buy X Get Y rule (with a discount on Y product).

Please feel free to try the settings out yourself, and also refer to this use case for more insight:

    Hope that helps.

    Regards.

    Hi @bakgun1 ,

Please go through the use case added for you earlier and our documentation in general, then try using Buy X Get Y rule as advised:

    https://docs.yaycommerce.com/yaypricing/use-cases/buy-x-get-y

Let us know if you face any issue.

Unfortunately, this document does not provide a sufficient solution to my issue. Therefore, I felt the need to ask.
    Example purchase:
    G1 > X
    G1 > Y
    G1 > Z

The issue we encounter in the cart is as follows:
When G1 is added to the cart, we want to allow only one of X, Y, or Z to be added. How can we prevent additional promotional products from being added? If additional products are added, how can we ensure they are displayed at the regular retail price?

    Hi @bakgun1 ,

You can create a separate and unique categories for G1 and and create a separate and unique category for X.

Do the same for the rest respectively. Then choose the respective unique categories in the X and Y section of Buy X Get Y.

Hope that works, and if not, then you can reach our team here for more in-depth look at your settings, so we can advise appropriately:

You can find solutions for many purposes with the YayPricing plugin. If you can’t find a solution, you can communicate with the technical support team, just like I did, and resolve your issues. Thanks to the YayCommerce team. So glad you exist!
