group blog (collaborative or not) posts ?

It’s in plan to be released. Currently there is no ETA, but I will definetely write a blog post on ovirium.com once this extension will be ready. And I will update the BPGE plugin with the appropriate information as well.

how ll it works exactly?
The blog posts ll be visible inside the group activity and the users ll get notifications?

In admin area you can enable blog for all groups or only particular ones.
You can also define when group level should be the group member to be able to post. For example: group admins can publish and edit everything (always), moderators can either post or edit own posts or create pending posts that admins can then publish. Average groups members will be able to comment only.
All posts will be listed on a separate Blog page inside the group and in activity stream, inheriting group visibility options (so posts from hidden groups will be visible in activity feed only to that group members). Nost sure about notifications, perhaps I will add a checkbox – notify group members about new post on publishing.

The blog of the group will be visible as a standard wordpress post category (to be able to use default widgets as well) or you ll create a new custom type/taxonomy for blogs?
Any idea on when it ll be ready?

I will use CPT, of course. Because that’s a separate piece of information.
