Group Grid Display

    Hi there,

    I want to display a grid of a certain number of groups to promote them on a page (with the name of each group displayed under each group avatar.

    The code I am using is as follows

    [bpps_profile_lists option=”avatar-grid” per_page=”3″ promoted_groups=”1,6,8″]

    The problem is that I seem to be getting more groups displayed on the grid and have no way to display the name of each group displayed

    Hi there!

    You found a bug and also you wanted a new feature – grid with names.

    I’ve fixed the bug and also I’ve added an option=”avatar-grid-name” feature which hopefully delivers what you are looking for.

    So upgrade to the new version and try:

    [bpps_profile_lists option=”avatar-grid-name” per_page=”3″ promoted_groups=”1,6,8″]

    Hi there,

    I’ve added this as a feature too:)

    Now you can use

    [bpps_profile_lists list_type=”members” members_sort=”newest” per_page=”4″ option=”avatar-grid-name”]

    members_sort has options of newest,popular,random, active, alphabetical and online.

    I was thinking about it and I thought it might be nice to add the same sort of supprt for groups as I’ve added for members, so I’ve just posted a new update that supports the following:

    [ bpps_profile_lists list_type=”group-lists” groups_sort=”newest”]

    With groups_sort you have options of newest, active, popular, random and alphabetical.

    Hi Venutius,

    Thank you very much for adding this amazing feature. It is a much needed feature and I am sure a lot of buddypress users will love it.

    Can I suggest for a future update that you find a way to attach a page in the administrator panel so that all the list of shortcodes are easily available (similar to what bbp style pack plugin does) . Will save users having to come to www.ads-software.com to check on the various options available

    Thanks for the feedback. I added all the shortcodes in a drop down menu displayed in the TinyMCE editor but yes it would probably be nice to have somewhere to document all the features in the back end.
