    Dear,

I’m using a custom designed application to reach the below system :
    https://gevcen.tinytake.com/tt/Mzk4Nzk2M18xMjI2MzI2Nw

In short, I’m grouping product variations by categories. All brown colors together, all blue colors together … I’ve looked everywhere in the WooCommerce community but absolutely no one has ever thought of this. I thought I would ask you if you’ve ever seen a plugin that can do that?

I need that because I have products with dozens of variations, and I can just show a variable product with all variations messed up. I’m disappointed that no one thought that shop owners could have more than just 4 or 5 variations of a same product…

So I thought to ask you because it’s really time-consuming to keep managing this on my own as I’m a shop owner, not a dev. Do you know any plugin that can do this?

    Thanks

  • Hi there.

Can you explain what you mean here? Grouping in what sense? You can do some “bulk editing” already. For example, you can make variations that apply to multiple attributes instead of just one.

You can also bulk edit variations.

    Dear,

You didn’t understand at all. Just look at this. I need this : https://gevcen.tinytake.com/tt/Mzk4Nzk2M18xMjI2MzI2Nw

Do you know any plugin capable of doing this ?

    Thanks

Hi @gevcen, thanks for clarifying. I understand much better what you’re talking about now. We do have a plugin that would accomplish what you’re going for there. It is called WooCommerce Swatches and Photos.

    Hi

Are you sure? I already tried it and I didnt see such functionality anywhere in that plugin.

To repeat, my point is to group variations together into categories of variations within a same product.

    Thanks

Hi @gevcen. Thanks for clarifying again. I don’t know that there is a way to do specifically the grouping aspect of what you show in the video, where the customer can check a box and certain variations are shown.

You might be able to create a work-around by having the different variations be separate products and using a product grouping plugin to create bundle/composite product/etc. where the customers chose a color “variation” that is really a separate product. Stand-alone products have more flexibility than product variations, so you might be able to configure things to get more of the UI that you’re looking for. For example, you would probably want to make it so the color variations could only be seen in the context of the grouped product, not in the catalog, and you would want to make it so they didn’t have a price or had a price of $0.

I haven’t tested this myself, so you’d have to do some experimenting, but do keep in mind that we have a 30 day refund policy, so feel free to experiment with different plugins and refund them if they don’t work. Off the top of my head, I think Product Bundles and Composite Products would be the best places to start.

    Hi @gevcen,

If you have gone with the Product Bundles or Composite Products choices, then you can submit a ticket to us for further assistance ?? I will go ahead and close this thread, but if you need anything else please feel free to open a new thread and let us know!
