Group Redirect Loop

  • We do have a site which is closed for non-registered users.
    Within this page we do have events. We can share events by mail.

    If an unregistered user opens a shared link to an event, user should get redirected to logon page. Apparently this works for us, only (!) if there are no group restrictions for this event.

    As soon as we do have a group restriction set for this event, we got redirected over and over again … httpCode 302

    What’s wrong with our configuration?

    To get the unregistered user redirected to the login, you can use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/groups-404-redirect/

    The 302 might be something else unrelated to Groups, I don’t see how that response would be related to Groups itself.

    Thanks for your quick answer. Groups 404 helped me a lot. We finally figured out, that WPS HideLogin caused our problem.

    Whenever we tried to access a page which is restricted to a specific group, we have been redirected endless. So we ended up using another plugin for custom permalinks.
