• In LearnDash groups you can enrol the group members collectively to a number of courses. I am using Social Learner and have now set up a private group in BP but I cannot now see how to do the same for a BP group.

It appears to work the other way around. In BP it seems that if I link a group to a single course then everyone who enrols on that course becomes a member of that group.

How do I do the same now that I used to do in LearnDash before I came over to using BP? I thought that BuddyPress for LearnDash linked Groups. I’m sure it must be there, but I can’t see it!

Hi Colin, Social Leander uses Buddypress group and Learndash groups are different than buddypress group, Buddypress Group can only linked to a single course. Learndash Group represent for group of members which can be part of many courses.

Yes, thanks, I have investigated further and in order to avoid confusion I am ‘localizing’ LearnDash and renaming their groups as teams. I can then think in terms of the BuddyPress group as being related to a course (all people enrolled on that course, maybe from different organisations or even different countries) and a LearnDash team as being a coherent cohort of people (a department in a company, a class in a school) having similar learning needs (and hence having access to a number of courses).

Ya sure it’s a good idea, common word “Groups” creates confusion.
