Groups PayPal – Product Discontinued – Existing License Support

    Hi – We noticed your announcement: “Groups PayPal – This product has been discontinued. Support is provided to existing license holders but cannot be renewed”.

    We are a long-time paying customer, and your announcement above creates a major problem for our platform, as we trusted you to use this plugin for our PayPal subscriptions. We have spent years and built a robust platform based on “Groups PayPal” extension, and we do not want to switch to anything “Woo Commerce” related.

    • – Since “Groups PayPal” runs our subscription payments, we need to make sure this product will continue to run with no errors. Will this plugin still run as WordPress upgrades?
    • – What kind of support options from itThinx do we now have, can we pay for support from itThinx?
    • – Would itThinx consider moving this plugin “open source”, so long-time existing users could maintain the codde?

    To make it free, as your suggestion seems to imply, sounds like a reasonable idea in this case.

    As this is about a commercial product, please be aware of this forum guideline Do Not Post About Commercial Products.

    Assuming that it is going to be made available, e.g. via a public GitHub repository or similar, it would open up the possibility of continued maintenance via the community.
