    Hello,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this, any help is appreciated!

Most of my Google Merchant Center shopping actions are denied with the error: “Submit more unique values for this variant” – most of my products have quite a few variates as we sell paint with many colors. The products are setup in WooCommerce as a ‘Variable product’.

Here is the overall status of my Google Merchant Center: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Kouen6wx

Here is the specific denial for most of my items for Shopping Actions: https://share.getcloudapp.com/YEudDY7z

Please let me know if I can answer any questions that would help solve this issue!

    Thanks,
    William

  • Hi William,

Typically this means you added variants products to your feeds that are missing unique attributes.

The Google help pages say this:

Two or more of the items in your product data use the same item group id, but don’t include multiple values for any associated variants, such as size or color. This could result in showing duplicates of the same offer, rather than showing two different offers that vary by size, color, or some other distinguishing attribute. To ensure that we can correctly identify items that use the same item_group_id, you’ll need to submit differing values for variant attributes or remove duplicate offers from your product data.

So it does seem you need to add more unique values per variant.

    Best,
    Eva

    Hey there Eva, @evavangelooven

Thank you for the insight, my variants are different names, and images but while I was looking into your help, I noticed that my SKUs are the same for all variants, do you think that is the issue?

    Thanks,

    Hi William,

Google is not looking at the product names and images they will be looking at attributes of your variation products. So they need to have different size, color, or material values per variation.

And yes, SKU’s need to be unique too.

    All the best,
    Eva

    Hello @evavangelooven

After digging, I have confirmed that most of products have different SKUs, size, and colors inside WooCommerce.

    Hi William,

Two of your screenshots return a 502 error page so I could not open them.

Your screenshot of the product in Google’s Merchant center did work and by the looks from that screenshot there is no size and/or color uploaded to Google’s merchant center. Are you sure you added those attributes to your feed?

    All the best,
    Eva
