Gspeech select text to speech do not work anymore?

GSpeech App works in “Community.knowledgegap.biz.” But I cannot figure out how to read the texts from a Word file, pdf file, or even insert texts to read in code. When I open the site, it just announces welcome.

You can not do that, it works with online plain text…

PD: I think that my “issue” is that in fact the texts in my site are not public yet… it is a site in contruction, and gspeech can not reach it

I can’t hear anything on their demo site!
and i installed it on my wordpress site and can’t hear anything
whenther by highlighting or any other method.
I get the speaker and powered by..etc, but nothing happen.
i tried with 2 different browsers.
Any idea what’s happening?

Same here! It’s not even showing up on my site, when highlighted.

It’s not just your site I wrote to their support a week ago informing them that it wasn’t working on their own website with no reply yet.

Yes, broken on our site too, so I wouldn’t try too long to get things working, they won’t at the moment.

There was something I recall about Google changing their API so I suspect this is the cause.

I hope the plugin developer can get this fixed and updated asap.

To the developers of gSpeech: any update on when the plugin will work again?

This is a joke, the developers neither reply here or on the plugin forum.
If they are facing problems or no longer support it, at least they announce this, so we don’t keep waiting for a reply…

Hello,

Google changed the API structure, that is why it stopped working.
We have fixed the issue since version 2.0.1. Please update your plugin to last version.
