    Hello,

I keep running into this issue. We have thousands of products, but only few hundred of them have EAN/GTIN as Google keeps highlighting these products to add GTIN to them. I always add the correct GTIN directly in Google shopping and the fault disappears for some time, but next day it comes up again. I think it’s because in field mapping I have set GTIN as “plugin calculation” so everytime the products load, the GTIN set directly in Google shopping deletes automatically. How can I avoid this issue?

Thank you for this plugin btw! It’s the best one for Google shopping

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

The value “plugin calculation” is not meant for the GTIN field at all but for your identifier_exists field so please remove that mapping as it will probably lead to wrong GTIN values (“yes” and “no”).

I removed GTIN field from field mapping. I will try to add GTIN directly to Google shopping once more and will come back to you.

It didn’t work unfortunately, GTIN codes put directly in google shopping still get deleted automatically even though I removed GTIN field mapping. It’s quite annoying, as it was the fastest way to do it and we probably have to find another way of adding GTIN codes now.

    Hi,

We checked your feed and it has no GTIN field or value in it at all, so there is nothing in your feed that could be causing the issue at hand.

Why don’t you add those GTIN’s in your feed anyhow?

    Hi,

because we don’t have them in our Woocommerce shop at all now and we have few hundred products, that miss them in google shopping. It’s much faster to add them manually one by one directly in google shopping than at woocommerce.

I suggest you reach out to Google’s support-team for this. You need to get verified with them that this works as expected. I can imagine that when you upload products from your feed that do not have a GTIN and you add that GTIN directly in your merchant center that with the next feed upload that GTIN is being removed again as it is overwritten with the data that comes from your feed.

    Hi,

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved and our support is no longer required I will close the topic for now. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us again whenever you need our support.

I have the same issue. I added this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-add-gtin/ Added GTIN to the product.

Here is a product feed example

    https://snipboard.io/snwSkY.jpg

I set the GTIN value. I removed the g:identifier_exists from “Caculated” and set to blank.

I believe we need the g:identifier_exists set to Yes when a GTIN is there, correct?

How can we setup it up it sets it to yes when a GTIN is present, then no when no GTIN?

You can see in that example. When a GTIN is present the g:identifier_exists is set to no when I believe it should be set to yes.

    Hello,

in the end I kept the default “calculated” setting for GTIN and created a custom field in which I manually written the GTIN directly in wordpress for every product that Google said it needs one. If Google believes, that your product has GTIN, it will automatically alert you, even if you set g:identifier_exists to “no”.
