    Hello,

I can input a GTIN through yoast SEO, but I’m not able to find the value when I’m trying to plot the attributes in. What is the value called? Where do I find out? What’s the solution to this?

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

We don’t know what the (technical) attribute naming is from other plugin’s, sometimes they get pretty creative with it. You would have to reach out to Yoast support in this case asking them what the name of their attribute is so you can, hopefully, find in in the drop-downs of our plugin.

I see, so your plugin includes all values from all plugins and themes by default, and we just need to find the field name?

Theoretically yes. When a plugin adds attributes or custom fields the official WordPress way they should show in our drop-downs.

Ah, I found the problem. Yoast has implemented this feature with GTIN etc. but you can’t use that value for a feed. I went with this solution instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTMYywM-YlM

Pretty easy and straightforward. Worked like a charm with Product Feed pro and Woocoomerce.

@cjtp thank you for this. I actually set up an attribute to get around this, and it worked fine that way. However, I’m still needing a solution for variable products. Do you know if the code you used would work in that scenario? I found other stuff online but haven’t had a chance to test them out yet.

    Thank you again.

    Hi Joyce,

Unfortunately it does not. The way WooCommerce saves attributes for simple products is different than it does for variable products (it saves it in array’s). Thats why we had to develop this feature: https://adtribes.io/add-gtin-mpn-upc-ean-product-condition-optimised-title-and-brand-attributes/

Please reach out to us on our website when you are interested in using it.

    Ok thank you for clarifying.

    Hi,
