Hi Make,
Thank you for reaching out with your questions regarding GTIN. Let me address each one:
Q1: GTIN for Products Without GTIN Your screenshot shows the setup for products that don’t have a GTIN. This setup is correct; if a product does not have a GTIN, you don’t need to add a condition for the GTIN field. Google does accept products without a GTIN, but it’s important to correctly indicate this in your feed. When a product doesn’t have a GTIN, you should set the “identifier_exists” attribute to “no.” This tells Google that the product doesn’t have a standard product identifier like a GTIN.
Q2: GTIN for Variable Products For variable products where each variation doesn’t have a unique GTIN, the approach is similar. You should set the “identifier_exists” attribute to “no” for these variations. This way, Google knows that these specific product variations do not have individual GTINs.
I understand that Google has disapproved many of your products due to GTIN issues. To help clarify how to handle products without GTINs, I’ve made a video tutorial that you can watch here: Handling Products Without GTIN.
Please watch this video for a step-by-step guide on setting up your feed correctly. If you have any further questions or need more detailed assistance, feel free to reach out.
