GTM & GA4

    Hi, my client has already set and installed the site kit plugin. I need to go into GTM and set up some additional tracking. I have access to GA4, and it’s tracking, and I also have access to the GTM account. The GTM account doesn’t have a tag in for GA4, so I’d like to add one in, so that I can set up the various tracking. However, as GA4 is already tracking (presumable from site kit). Will this cause any additional issues like double counting etc. Or alternatively does site kit already add the GA4 tag in GTM, but I just can’t find it!! ??

    Hello @chris8546 thanks for opening a support topic with us. If you are looking to set up some additional tracking via your GTM container using your GA4 property, this will not result in double counting on the Analytics side. Please do let us know if you do experience any issues after doing this and we’d be more than happy to check this for you but there should not be an issue when doing this.
