    Hello,

My SEO tool give me this warning :

    Critical
    Google Tag Manager code in
The GTM code was added to the <body> instead of the <head> .
Google reccomends to put the GTM code immediately after the web page’s opening tag <head>, or as high in the as possible.
    Source: https://developers.google.com/tag-platform/tag-manager/web
As a result of putting GTM tag into the <body> some tags might not work properly. For example GA4 tag.

I’m using Complianz to load GTM. Could you fix it in a next release ?

    Thanks !

    Hi Mkarena,

    Thank you for your message.

I’m afraid I’m unable to provide any kind of information whether this might or might not become a reality in the future however, rest assured, I’ve passed on your input internally.

The fact that Google recommends it might be true, but if you’d follow our guides for GTM, or more relevant nowadays, Consent Mode v2, you’re GA tag will work for sure. Here you can find the Consenet Mode v2 integration guide that also discussed GA: https://complianz.io/simplified-guide-to-google-consent-mode-v2/

    I hope this helps!
