GTM4WP bug? Datalayer not loading on this setting

I am using Perfmatters to optimise my site speed.

I use GTM4WP enhance e-commerce to track purchases.

Perfmatters offers the option to load the tags locally to save on external requests. That means that I switch the option <Container Code On/Off> to “Off” in GTM4WP.

But then the js “https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-XM283943HS&l=dataLayer&cx=c&#8221; doesn’t load an no purchase is tracked in GA4.

If I switch the option to on and disable the local analytics feature in Perfmatter it loads and GA4 tracks purchases.

is this a bug?

Then I also wanted to ask if it’s correct to load that script last. It is 80 kB and it is loaded last so I’m wondering if that is a Perfmatters issue or if it’s the correct loading sequence.
