  • Hello, I have a similar issue, it seems that cart events like gtm4wp.checkoutOptionEEC and gtm4wp.checkoutStepEEC are not working.

In my case I see events from gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC and gtm4wp.removeFromCartEEC but any action on the cart and checkout process is not fired.

    Any suggestion?

@duracelltomi yes I’ve followed your guide.

But beyond Analytics, what I find when activating the Tag Manager debugging is that events related to cart are not fired.

Maybe I’m missing something, but also on your sandbox web site I don’t see any event when I begin the checkout at https://woo.gtm4wp.dev/checkout

Events gtm4wp.checkoutStepEEC, gtm4wp.checkoutOptionEEC and gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC are fired only when a user complete the checkout and pay. I was expecting that checkoutStepEEC began when a user open the cart and then go to the checkout page.

    Hi,

The first checkout step is reported in the initial data layer push on the checkout page. This will be send along the the GA pageview tag is you configured the tag properly based on the setup guide. There won’t be any event names associated with that 1st step data as it is added with the “Page View” or “gtm.js” event.

After that, if you select to enter a different shipping address, gtm4wp.checkoutStepEEC will be fired with step #2. If the default selected payment gateway and shipping method is accepted or there is only one choice in any of the methods, the corresponding gtm4wp.checkoutStepEEC event with step #3 and #4 will be fired while the user clicks on the “Process order” button.
