GTM4WP plugin’s scripts are blocking the links

When I disable the GTM4WP plugin, the link does go in normally. What should I do to use GTM4WP normally.

I have installed the beta version of GTM4WP 1.15, but after activation, my pictures and text links still cannot enter the product page normally.

Is it installed on your production site or a dev/test site? Can you post the URL of the test site?

Your test site does not include a GTM container code because the container code is set to off. This is why product links are not working. Enable the container code or add it manually and it will work.

I will also update the plugin to have some fallback functionality if the container code placement is set to “Off”.

So how should I change it?

If you are using v1.15 beta, open GTM4WP plugin page, set “Container code ON/OFF” to “ON” and “Container code compatibility mode” to “Off”.

When I accept the cookie banner, product links work perfectly.
However the Borlabs cookie management platform is configured to block the GTM container itself before any consent. My suggestion is not to block GTM itself and let GTM4WP to output the container code by default and control tag firing inside your GTM container using exception/blocking triggers.

I’d like to add that my site suffers from the same issue.

The only way to get links to work, even with 1.15 b2 – Is to have the container code set to off.
