First of all thank you for the great plugin. I use GTmetrics to test various parameters of my website and despite I take them with the grain of salt I know they mean something.

Your plugin achieves better scores than similar ones and I am very happy using it. Having said that I still see some warnings in GTmetrics test results:

The following inline script blocks were found in https://paleosmak.pl/ between an external CSS file and another resource. To allow parallel downloading, move the inline script before the external CSS file, or after the next resource.

    Inline script block #3

    Minify CSS and JS
There is 1 component that can be minified

    inline <script> tag #10

Not sure if there is anything you can do about it.
Thank you one more time for your support and the fantastic plugin.

    Afternoon Grzegorz;
Did a quick test on GTmetrics, but can’t find those warnings, where can I find them?

Frank, the first one is in “PageSpeed” tab and it is called “Optimize the order of styles and scripts”. The other is in the “YSlow” tab and it is called “Minify JavaScript and CSS”.

I have never had those warnings before installing your plugin. I know that sometimes GTmetrics complains about js or css that can be minified to shave just 3 bytes, so it doesn’t make sense, but I don’t know how serious those warnings are.

I think you can go to https://gtmetrix.com/analyze.html and enter https://paleosmak.pl over there and you shall see the full report.

I am not sure if they are serious warnings, that is why I am asking you for advise. Thank you for any thoughts on that.

OK, now I see despite my ever-greasy glasses ??

regarding inline script vs external CSS; that’s your wordpress core emoji script, which indeed is preceeding the external google fonts CSS one. I like to dequeue both (don’t care for them), but if you need them you could enable “aggregate inline JS” and the emoji-code will be moved to the autoptimized JS-file. and removing google fonts is just a checkbox away ??

regarding js that still can be minified; if you don’t aggregate inline JS, AO just leaves it as is. ticking the “aggregate inline JS”-option would solve that as well.

    have a nice weekend,

    Frank,
Thank you for your answer. I marked the option and the “YSlow” warning was gone, but the “PageSpeed” one still says:

The following inline script blocks were found in https://paleosmak.pl/ between an external CSS file and another resource. To allow parallel downloading, move the inline script before the external CSS file, or after the next resource.

    Inline script block #2

Nice weekend to you too ??

that is very likely a fluke; the inline script(s) mentioned are of type ‘application/ld+json’, which do not contain executable script and hence they should not interact/ interfere with the download of other resources.

AO can’t aggregate/ optimize these types of scripts either, so …

    Thanks a lot!
