GTMetrix tells me to defer parsing

Hi – I have installed and run Async (just defaults) but when I run my website through GTMetrix it’s telling me to defer parsing of javascript – is this what Async is doing or do I need to set it up differently – This is what it says:

“214.8KiB of JavaScript is parsed during initial page load. Defer parsing JavaScript to reduce blocking of page rendering.”
