• I am in the process of building an Internet Broadcast Network Website using WordPress Multisite. The network page has all the other sites feeding content to it, but the individual sites will act independent of each other. That part I have down and using a couple of well known plugins can make that work.

The part I don’t know what to do with is our guest directory. I want to create one guest directory that has all of the guests information. There are quite a few crossover guests from show to show, therefore I don’t want to have to build multiple guest directories and input duplicate info. I would prefer to build one and update it each time someone is on one of the shows.

On the main network site, it would list the guest and all of the shows they have made an appearance on. On each individual site, it would only show the shows they were on regarding that particular site.

Is this possible without having to hack the core? If so any thoughts as to how to do this using pre-existing plugins? If not I will get to work on building something.

    Thanks,

    Brad

You don’t have to hack core, but that’s going to be a lot of really complex code.

Wow. There are a lot of variables at play here.

That’s what I was afraid of… time to start sketching out wireframes and trying to figure this out.

After some work and some fishing around, would BuddyPress work in this instance? Each guest would have their own BuddyPress extended profile, and I could find a way to “tag” them (like Twitter) to each entry they are a part of. That would allow us to show off a list of Podcasts they are a part of.
