Guests Posts Biography Problem

    My site features guest posts; I can’t override my contributor account’s biography for my guest authors.

    I have enabled post specific overrides by making sure that the Enable Post Specific Overrides setting is checked.

    When I go to a post, there are no options to change anything to do with biography box.

    I have managed to have this working before, and the posts where I have used it still displays the overwritten biography box – but the options to do this now have disappeared.

    Please help!

    There’s a couple of things it could be …

    Firstly go to to Dashboard -> Settings -> WP Biographia and click on the Admin tab. Ensure that Enable Post Specific Overrides is set in the Biography Box Override Settings meta-box.

    Once that’s done edit a post. Is there a meta-box towards the bottom of the Edit Post screen called Biography Box Post Options? If not, click on the Screen Options link at the top right hand side of the Edit Post screen. In the Show On Screen drop-down, ensure that Biography Box Post Options is checked. If not, then check it and you should see this meta-box, with Biography Box post override options towards the bottom of the screen.

    Hello Gary,

    The first step has been done, the problem I’m having is that there is no meta-box on the Edit Post screen called Biography Box Post Options, and it is not in the Screen Options either.

    Check the plugin’s Exclusions tab; have you set your user to have the Biography Box hidden under User Hiding Settings? If so, you won’t see the meta-box or the option in the Edit Post Screen Options.
