Guide to styling the form

  • First of all, thanks to the plugin author for such a simple and versatile plugin that works just as fine. However, I am unable to find a decent guide or pointer about styling the fields. There is a guide at https://www.ejhansel.com/style-the-contact-form-7-wordpress-plugin/#comment-3394 that gives some idea about styling a basic form but not anything more.

    I need styles for file upload and browse button, a multi-select drop down and for captcha. I would really appreciate any help. Please don’t reply with vague comments like “add a selector and style” because I simply don’t know how to style these. If someone can point me to a sample, I can look it with firebug and give it a try.

    I am using wp 3.5 and the plugin version 3.3.3

    I got stylesheet code for the dropdown and submit fields if anyone wants to try

    .wpcf7 select {} Dropdown select
    input.wpcf7-submit {} submit button

    Does anyone have a clue about what the selctors are for your name, email, file upload, captcha field and body message. I would appreciate if someone can give me a hand in this.

    looks like I got for styling e-mail field

    You can add class option to each tags if necessary.

    I’ve added class option with no luck. I am trying to style the File Upload button. Is this possible? If so, how?
