Gutenberg

  • Hi there.
    We just updated WP to Gutenberg. Straight from 4.9.8 to 5.1.1. Everything seems to have got well, but the multi switch info that appeared at the bottom of our posts and pages are now gone. We know the Gutenberg block system gives us the opportunity to add this where ever we want on the new posts, but what about the old ones? Will we have to update each and one manually? We have 5 sites and almost 2000 post/pages on the biggest one.

    When we add the MLS block in a post we get the option to add a text (the option appears in the right side menu in the editor), but the text we type in there doesnt show up in the post.

    We also see that the MLS ikon in the right menu stands spinning when we press preview, and we have to press F5 to stop it. It’s like it stops the preview option for some reason.

    Hello,

    did you also update the Multisite Language Switcher? The language hint at the end of the post should still work… let’s see if I can help.

    Yes, I have updated all plugins. I’m using theme Twentyfourteen. The new block MLS works fine, and as said above we can put it where ever we want, which has been a long time wish. We updated to 5.2. some days ago, and the flags still dont appear in the editor, so we have to guess which “box” that belongs to which language. When we click in one of them, we of course see the language. I also miss a possibility to type inn some letters of the post I want to connect and search. Now I have to scroll up and down to find the actual post, and one of our language is Russian, so it is a bit complicated ??

    Another change is that we now have to connect the posts/pages from both sides. Earlier it was enough to connect them all from one site an it appears perfect.

    Any chance for that you can take a look at this problem?

    There is probably something wrong with your installation. Could you check, please, where the link to flags points to?

    Additionally, it should update the meta-information in all sites that are connected. Please, check also if there is everything ok in the installations. Did you change something in the sites?
