    classic editor and gutenberg are tools you can use to build posts/pages. as a classic editor user, I never used the visual mode or any external page builders. I just dabble in wordpress so don’t use it much.

    these tools work totally differently, although you cannot use gutenberg as a tool like you do with classic editor. as a tool, gutenberg just does not have the abilities built into it to duplicate the abilities of the classic editor. yes, you can use the HTML block to add functionality not currently available in any gutenberg block, but thia is not quite like a visual editor. the lack of training on gutenberg hurts its implementation, as well, as its deficiencies in capabilities.

  • Thanks for the feedback Al. You may already know this, but if you haven’t tried the Classic block yet, it may be useful to you for traditional WYSIWYG editing.
