I am pretty sure that just about few weeks or months ago, I could just type “/ima” and hit Enter to get image block type. Now, I can type the whole “/image” and still “Image” is not highlighted. I see damn “Tilled Gallery” highlighted:

Even though its name does not contain “image” (isn’t this a bug?)!

    1. How can I get my Gutenberg back to old good mood?
    2. How can I rearrange block types in my handy list?
    3. How can I have my most often used block types at the top of list?
    4. How can I again have “Image” not “Tilled Gallery” highlighted when I type “image”?

The Block Manager doesn’t seems to have some ordering functionality, so I begin to feat that I need to install yet another plugin or dig in source code (this isn’t that bad only all I do will be wiped out with the next update). Thanks!

    Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue.
Blocks can provide keywords that users can use to search for them. I guess both the tiled gallery and gallery provided the image keyword, although their name is not “image”.
Gutenberg does not have a complex algorithm to match the best block for the “image” search, and probably the Tiled gallery appears first because of the order in which blocks were registered.
A possible improvement on the Gutenberg side would be to have better sorting of results.
A possible temporary “solution” would be to filter the registration of the “tiled gallery” and/or gallery and remove the image keyword from there. So “image” starts appearing first.

Thank you for your kind answer. I was expecting something like that.

I will mark this answer as done, as there’s much to be done here. Thanks!
