• In transitioning to Gutenberg, I have found that I cannot edit the blocks when editing a PAGE. When I create a block and try to change the options, (eg bold, italic etc), on hover, the toolbar for that block disappears, and all blocks above it become highlighted. I cannot even access the toolbar’s ‘remove block’, and must use my delete key to remove a block.

Additionally, when I try to use the document tab options in the sidebar, it reverts to the block tab with the message ‘no block selected’ as soon as I move my mouse to the side to select an option.

I have resorted to editing my pages in code editor with HTML.

These things do not happen when I am editing POSTS. Everything works perfectly there.

    Please help.

What do you mean by ‘blocks’ in pages?

In Gutenberg editor, you add a ‘block’ for a new type of content, eg headline, image, paragraph. It will also automatically create a new block when you hit return for a new paragraph. It is like a page builder.
(I would submit a screenshot but I don’t see a way to upload on the forum.)

You can ask this question at ‘Gutenberg editor’ support forums, I never saw this editor, so I am not sure why can it work like this.

I will try that. Thank you.
