I’m using WordPress 4.9.8 running the Adventure-plus-child theme. When I update our News page and set the title and date of the publication to link to the source, it appears to take in the editing stage. But the link disappears in the published page.

I tried going back and copying older links on the same page and re-formatting them with limited success.

Finally, I switched back to the Classic Editor to obtain a more permanent fix.

Is there a known bug that’s causing this? Will a future update of Gutenberg resolve this?

    Thanks!

How are you creating the links, specifically?

There is a known issue with the “big pop up screen”, but the small link editor works.

Thank you for prompt response. I was using the Classic Editor block function in Gutenburg, where the classic editor options appear on top of the text block.

Try using the normal paragraph blocks instead. The problem I refer to was specifically in the classic editor block.

OK, great. Thanks for this info. I will try that on my next News page update. Really appreciate your fast response.
