• Any chance you’ll be ungrading an option for a Gutenberg block? Please, please?

I was wondering how much it would cost to even try getting someone on Fiverr to do it for me. ??

I have started to develop a Gutenberg version of the plugin, but, as the technology stack differs very much from the classic editor and I don’t have any experience with it, there still is much work to do. I’m planning to continue the development, but can’t tell if or when I can finish it.
If someone is experienced in developing Gutenberg blocks, it shoulnd’t be too much effort, though, to create such a block, and the NGG-interface can be adapted from my plugin.

    I’ll wait patiently. ??

The NGG block itself doesn’t work that well, and tehre is a documented conflict in using it for the featured image (when you choose a Featured Image in block mode, NGG isn’t an option; it is in Classic if you choose fresh, but if you choose it and then delete the image to change it to something else, it disappears from the menu choices!). Even on paid version.

In an ideal world, they’ll come out with an improved block…in my naive world, I’d love someone to take their block layout and dump your NGG code into it.

In the meantime, I use Classic Paragraph right above where I need it, insert the image I want using the picker, and then copy/paste it into a regular paragraph. ?? Not the most efficient method, but efficient enough.

    Thanks.

In case you’re still interested: I have just published a new plugin that allows you to insert NGG tags for images, galleries and albums as Gutenberg blocks: Image Chooser Block for NextGEN Gallery
It does not have the full functionality of the old plugin, but allows me to do what I used the old plugin for. If you miss a feature you have used, please let me know and I will see if/when I can implement it.
