• Once upon a time, I set up a number of galleries that displayed (and still display) beautifully on my WordPress site. I used (use) the standard gallery shortcode. Though, nowadays – when I have switched to the Gutenberg editor that comes preinstalled on WordPress – I cannot create nor modify galleries.

I notice there is a block called “Justified gallery” … which is strangely categorized as “Text”. When I choose that block for creating a new gallery I get an error message that says (freely translated from Swedish to English):
“This block has run into a problem that cannot be previewed.”

Further, I understand that when the justified gallery plugin is active, the gallery overrides standard WordPress galleries. Though, when I create a standard gallery there is no trace of the justified gallery look. I get no lightbox mode, no justified thumbnails etc.

    What to do?

    Thanks for your help.

Update: If you insert a “classic block” in the Gutenberg editor and paste the gallery shortcode you can edit the gallery (delete or add images). That works for me. Case closed.

Wish it had a Gutenberg block, seriously. This workout is not what made this plugin great.
