Gutenberg TERRIBLE for pasting text from heavily formatted Word docs.

  • If you do a lot of copying and pasting of heavily formatted documents from MS Word, Gutenberg is TERRIBLE for trying to tweak the spacing and fonts that WordPress randomly pastes wrong.

    I have 4 paragraphs that came out as heading fonts instead of paragraph. I highlight all 4 paragraphs at once, and there’s no option to change the font. I have to click each paragraph one at a time and change the heading font to paragraph. What a waste of time! (And no, switching to the code editor doesn’t make it any faster, by the time I hunt down the paragraphs I need to change).

    I would change to classic if I knew I could keep it that way, but from what I’ve read, Gutenberg is here to stay. Hope that changes for those of us who don’t want it! I gave it a chance, and I still hate it.
