I am old and not a coder. The switch to Gutenberg was especially challenging for me but I made it through. Answers involving code editing might not be helpful to me, but if it’s the only way I’ll try.

I want images on my site to be truly embedded in the text, as was possible in Classic mode. In Gutenberg, the “wrap text” feature can only align the top of the image with the top of the paragraph. However, I want images to appear in the middle or bottom of a paragraph, not only at the top.

Any help? I guess the old code that made it work in Classic will work in Gutenberg, so I can try doing it that way?

    Thank you.
    eric

  • I have heard of an inline image. Not sure if that’s what is meant by the Image block that is on the block menu, though. I just tried it and it seems to want to keep paragraphs separate from images, but there might be something I’m missing.

What I do know is you can add a Classic block and do your text and image the way you are used to.
