• Well,

I’m one of those “wtf guttenberg” but I frankly have a better mindset than just ‘keep everything as it were in ’99’. Guttenberg is not perfect, but also so was the content editor.

My problem with it now is that it makes stuff harder, really harder, for unsavy users: Not only technology unsavy people, but design wise.

When we lay out a blank page, with a myriad of blocks to choose from, many will just stare lost.

Would be EXCELENT to get an option for setting presets of blocks then. Developers would be able to create the blocks and set presets according to design sheets, then the end user could pick a set instead having the trouble of deciding.

Of course this does extend a whole set of necessities, like having mandatory blocks, minimum amount of blocks, forbidden blocks etc…

Problem is, Guttenberg leaves a lot of control on the editor’s hand, but this does also makes their lifes a LOT harder.
