GZIP causing blank pages, can't load site at all

  • I’ve been testing the speed of my website and the results are pretty bad. The main culprits seem to be query strings and too many javascript and css files. I’m trying to find ways to compress them to reduce each page’s size.

    I disabled every plugin I had and the site loads fine. Then I enabled only GZIP and my site won’t load, so I know for a fact it’s the culprit.

    I know this topic has been covered but the solutions are too complicated for me. I don’t know how to access certain places or how to check PHP logs, etc. I pretty much know to how to read and adjust HTML and CSS, that’s all I can do. Programming is not my specialty at all!
