Gzip not working on NGINX

Hi, I’m running WordPress on NGINX on a Vultr Centos instance. I’ve added the generated code to enable Gzip and restarted NGINX, but the Dashboard still reports Gzip is not enabled for js and css files (html reports “active”). Is there something else that needs to be enabled for Gzip to work? Is it possible the WAF (firewall) is disabling Gzip? Thanks in advance.
