gzip not working on staging env

    Hi there, I am testing my staging site with lighthouse, gtmetrix and page speed, and all of them warn that there is no text compression. I know that SiteGround by default enables gzip on all websites, including staging. However, I made some checks with a few online tools to check if gzip is enabled and looks like on my 2 staging sites gzip is not enabled (here is one of them: https://www.giftofspeed.com/gzip-test/), whereas it is enabled on my live sites.
    Is it possible that gzip is not working on staging envs?

    The GZIP comporession is enabled by default on all prod staging, but not for staging.

    Would it be possible to provide a link to the article where you have read about the gzip comporession on staging, so we can fix it?

    Hy Stanimir, I had a live chat on SiteGround a couple of times about this issue, and they ensured that gzip is enabled on staging as well. I can send an email with the chat transcription (in italian) if you provide me with an email address where I can forward it.

    Thank you for your help Stanimir.
    Actually, I see there is no real benefit to have gzip enabled on a staging env, but I had to know, since I have been told two times (first time long ago) that it is enabled. At least now I know and that’s all I needed.
