H1-Tag in code spotted, please remove it

    Hi,

    as i made a SEO-Analysis with my website, i saw, that i have two h1-tags in some pages. I looked deeper in the code and spotted this in the class-mpp.php:

    <nav class=”mpp-post-navigation” role=”navigation”><h1 class=”screen-reader-text”>Post navigation</h1>

    Is this really nececcary? Because Google doesn’t like more than one h1-tag per page and it countered my SEO-strategy. ??

    I have replaced the h1-tag with a strong-tag with no negative effects in point of the multipage-plugin.

    Could you please do the same, so the next plugin-update ist more SEO-friendly. ??

    Anyway I’m not sure the approach of using a strong is the best. I’m pretty convinced that the h2 (or even an h3) could be the best choice, also considering that sites as wikipedia.org is using an h2 for the table of contents.

    I don’t think so, because Google awaits after an H-Tag some content. Wikipedia serves a huge amount of content. But in our special case, H-Tags in the TOC doesn’t make any sense, because the SEO-relevant tags are already embedded in the text of the website.

    So as far as i know, it would be better if you replace all h-Tags in the TOC with strong-Tags, or any other style but h-Tags. Since it is thus more clearly marked what is really important in the text, Google will thank us with a better ranking.
