Hello, I’ve got a problem with my H1 title on my pages.

Of course I give a name to my page (top of the editor).

Then, if I include an H1 Title on the construction of the page, Yoast tell me :
“H1s should only be used for your main headline. Find them in your text and take them to a lower level!” (traduced from french…)

If I don’t include an H1 in my construction page, no warning from Yoast.
But when I do an Header analysis with that tool : https://www.webrankinfo.com/outils/balises-h1-h6.php (a french reference in SEO), H1 do not appear !

So, who do I have to trust ? Yoast or Header analysis ? Is there a problem between Neve and Yaost about this H1 title line on the top of the page ?

Note : I’ve tried toggle “disable title” at the bottom of the NEVE option bar : It doesn’t change anything, nor on the rendering of the page, nor on the yoast or Header analysis…

I’ve this problem on several pages of my site, but NOT on this one :
    https://www.bmrtrek.re/nos-partenaires/
There is an H1 on the page, and no Yoast warning.

No problem with my posts, H1 is present and visible, no warning. No “strange Title line” on the editor for my posts.

Thank you somuch for your help.

  • Hi @bmrtrek,

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

I checked your site and there is only one H1 tag on the pages that I checked and no warning regarding multiple H1 tags appears while analyzing the pages with the tool you provided – screenshot, so I am not able to see the issue. The name of the page added on the top of the editor is an H1 tag, so if you add a heading block with another H1 tag, you’ll get a warning because a page should have only one H1 tag, for SEO reasons. If you still encounter this issue, please provide us a screencast showing how does the warning appear.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Hello, thank you for tour answer.

Effectively, I have also check with other tools, and “regarding internet”, there is no problem.

The problem is on Yoast. It says that I’ve two H1 title on my pages, when I’am in the éditor.

It’s not a big deal, I’am just surprised with that issue…

    Hi @bmrtrek!

I checked this further and indeed it shouldn’t throw that warning because in the source code of your pages there is only one H1 tag on each published page. If more H1 tags would’ve appeared in the source code, that warning would’ve been justified. However, it doesn’t affect the functionality or performance of the site because that warning appears only in the editor and it is related to Yoast, not Neve. From what I’ve seen on the threads from the Yoast forum where the same issue was reported, this case could be called a false positive since it is giving that warning even though there is only one H1 tag in the source code. You could address this issue to the plugin authors, maybe they are able to help you with it, as there’s nothing we can do about it on our end. This isn’t a conflict with Neve, but Yoast sees two H1 tags in the editor, the page title and the H1 block you added, even though, in your case, there will be only one on the actual published page.

    I hope this makes sense!

Ok, thank you for the investigation.
So I ignore this warning, and tell that to Yoast team.
