h1 tag for logo in header on homepage?

  • Hi, I noticed that, when using the logo (instead of the site title) as the site branding, it is not given an h1 tag. I would like for the logo to get an h1 tag (on the homepage only, not on other pages/posts). How can I do this?

    I have found some text in the functions.php that seems to deal with the logo/title/tags, but I don’t know how to code — is there something that can be edited there to accomplish what I need?

    Thanks for using our theme!

    When we use the logo as an image, it uses html img tag to display the logo image. but if we use text logo i.e. site title then h1 tag is used.

    In our theme we alreday provide h1 tag for site title.
